Ingle Farm is a proud, established community in Adelaide's north, built around its shopping centre on the corner of Montague and Walkleys Roads. Generations of families have grown up here, and many households include someone who relies on NDIS supports to live the life they want.
ABility Centre supports Ingle Farm participants from our office in nearby Gilles Plains. We offer the personal touch of a small local team, with the full range of plan management services you would expect from a much bigger organisation.
From Family Farm to Family Suburb
The suburb takes its name from a working farm. James Rowe settled in the area in 1848, and his family farmed wheat, barley and hay here for decades. After his grandson Jabez married Martha Wright in 1902, the property became known as Ingle Farm. The Rowe name lives on in Rowe Park, home of the Ingle Farm Sporting Club.
In 1959 the South Australian Housing Trust bought the land, and the first homes were built in 1965. Within ten years the suburb had grown to around 2,500 houses, and it has been a close knit residential community ever since.
Why Ingle Farm Participants Switch to Us
A lot of the participants we meet from Ingle Farm already have a plan manager. What they are missing is a relationship. They describe waiting days for a reply, being passed between staff members and finding providers frustrated about late payments.
If that sounds familiar, you can move at any time. Our guide to switching NDIS plan managers explains the steps, and we help you through each one so your supports carry on without interruption.

Using Local Supports Around Ingle Farm
Ingle Farm has plenty of community life to plug into, from programs at the Ingle Farm Library to activities at the Ingle Farm Recreation Centre and sport at Rowe Park and Walkleys Park. Bus routes along the O Bahn and North East Road also link the suburb to Tea Tree Plaza and the city.
Being plan managed means you can use local businesses and smaller providers, not just those registered with the NDIS. Our NDIS invoice processing gives them a simple way to be paid correctly.
What a Typical Switch Looks Like
Here is an example of how a switch usually unfolds. A parent managing their daughter's plan calls us one evening after another week without a reply from their current plan manager. We talk through the plan, send our service agreement and explain what to say to the NDIS. Once the change is made, we contact the previous plan manager about any outstanding invoices and send the family a short message to forward to each provider.
From there, invoices start arriving with us, providers are paid, and the first monthly statement shows everything in one place. For most families, the hardest part is making the first phone call.

Local Help Alongside Your Plan
Ingle Farm Library and the City of Salisbury offer community programs and information that can complement your NDIS supports. We are happy to talk through how activities like these might fit within your plan, and how they can be paid if they involve a cost.
Helping Families Stay on Top of the Budget
Many Ingle Farm plans are managed by a parent, grandparent or sibling who is already stretched. Our NDIS budget tracking takes the worry out of the numbers. We record every payment, keep an eye on each funding period and let you know early if anything needs to change.
We also support families in the nearby suburbs of Para Vista, Valley View and Modbury, and across the wider North East Adelaide area.
